Behind every great PHA event are the people who set up the course, organize and run the events, wave the flags, drive the cars, and keep the spirit alive. Now is your opportunity to recognize those who have made a lasting impact on the Pennsylvania Hillclimb Association.

Who Can Nominate?

Anyone!

You do not need to be a driver, corner worker, official, or even a PHA member to submit a nomination. If you know someone who deserves this honor, we want to hear from you.

Selection Criteria

The PHA Hall of Fame recognizes individuals whose outstanding contributions, lasting impact, dedication, and sportsmanship have helped shape the organization.

Nominees may include:

• Drivers who pushed the limits of the sport.
• Workers and officials who kept our events safe and running smoothly.
• Organizers, volunteers, or individuals who filled multiple roles throughout their involvement with the PHA.
• Anyone whose legacy has made a meaningful and lasting contribution to the Pennsylvania Hillclimb Association.

Please Keep These Points in Mind

• This is not a service award. While years of involvement can certainly strengthen a nomination, longevity alone is not enough.
• All contributions matter. Hall of Fame candidates are evaluated for their accomplishments as drivers, workers, officials, organizers, volunteers, or any combination of these roles.
• Sportsmanship counts. Nominees should exemplify the values and spirit of the Pennsylvania Hillclimb Association.

Why Does This Person Belong in the Hall of Fame?

This is the most important part of your nomination. Tell us why this individual deserves induction.

Consider including:

• Were they primarily a driver, worker, organizer, official, or a combination of roles?
• What were their most significant accomplishments?
• Approximately how many years were they involved with the PHA?
• Did they mentor others, improve the organization, or leave a lasting legacy?
• Are there memorable stories or examples that demonstrate their character, dedication, or sportsmanship?

Tips for a Strong Nomination

The nomination you submit will be presented to the Hall of Fame voting members and serves as the primary basis for evaluating your candidate.

The strongest nominations include specific accomplishments, examples, and stories rather than simply listing years of service or race results. Help us understand not only what your nominee did, but why they deserve to be remembered as one of the people who shaped the Pennsylvania Hillclimb Association.

Don’t be afraid to “make the case” for your nominee. The more detail you can provide, the better.
