Fall Weatherly Hillclimb 2025 was held September 13-14 , 2025 in Weatherly, PA. This SCCA sanctioned event was hosted by the Weatherly Hillclimb Association, and was the seventh event in the eight event 2025 PHA Championship Series.

I wasn’t able to make this event. Mike Robinson was nice enough to step up and give us an event report, so please enjoy…
Weatherly weekend wrap up by Mike Robinson
I haven’t done one of these in a while. Let’s see how it goes….
Fall Weatherly 2025 is in the books. We had arguably the best weather I’ve seen for this event in a long time. Not to hot during the day, and not to cold at night. It was just fantastic.
Of course we had our normal camp fire in the evenings which is always nice to relax to.

How about the road conditions. For those not there this weekend…..or in the spring….
The road was patched in key areas before the spring event. While definitely needed, the transitions proved to be a challenge for some cars. Fortunately the event organizers had a crew come in and mill down the the transitions for the fall event. While not perfect, definitely much better. The effort was much appreciated!
And while we’re on the subject…let’s not blame the the organizers. Road crews just don’t know how to pave a road for racing purposes. They only care about water run off and various other details that don’t lend themselves well to a racing surface. Just the fact the road was repaired is huge and will help it remain raceable!
On to the good stuff…..
Super Modified and a nice little competition between Aaron Bass and Agustin Morales.
Aaron opened Saturday morning with a 60.253. That would remain his best time despite his best efforts to go faster. Agustin pulled out a 59.310 on Sunday to take the class.

SMR had a close one between Chris Merring and Nate Hoopes.
Chris took it with 57.324 to Nate’s 57.857. Ironically, this a different Mustang vs BMW battle that we are accustomed to seeing in SMR.

SX (Sport Max) got pretty spicy on Sunday. For those still new to our classing, this is where the modified FWD cars hang out. (Formally SMF).
Bryan Dion led pretty comfortably on Saturday. Ian Brown was there to challenge him but broke his car on the first run. (Shattered his front diff. case?) Thanks to some parts from fellow racer Aaron Bass, he had the car repaired for Sunday and let it eat. Ian took over the lead with record run of 55.604. First FWD car to hit the 55’s!!!! Bryan Dion wasn’t having it and came back on last run, reset the record with a 55.602. (Edit: This was in Sport Max (SM) )
Way to go Bryan !!!!

That’s two FWD’s in the 55’s now.
Fastest door car wasn’t all that exciting this weekend. Only one car made it in to the top 10 overall. That would be 8th overall by me. I struggled to match what I did in the spring. I ended up running a slower 53.0.
My transmission is also trying real hard to leave the chat. I’m afraid running it with a shot clutch at shenny did some internal damage to it. (Hopefully I can nurse through Pocono and then deal with it)

We also had 11 Crosskarts show up to try and keep any one out of the top 10.
As it is….we had to 2 open wheel cars and one door car. The other 7 spots were all Crosskarts!
That brings us to the main attraction.
Special 1
Dermot Treanor set the tone on the first run. He opened with a 52.304! Eventually Leon Jordan took over top spot on Saturday with a 51.726 to Dermonts 51.798 and Jon Kurt Eikenberg took 3rd with a 52.228
Sunday rolled in and Kurt hit the reset button with a 51.312 and top spot.

But wait…..Edward Smith showed up Sunday morning, unload his Crosskart and took everyone to school. He took the class win and FTD event win with a 50.838. Way to go buddy!!!

That’s it for Weatherly. Next event is a new one at Pocono 10/4 – 10/5.
See ya all there!
