Jan 18 Meeting Minutes Posted

The minutes for the Jan 18, 2025 meeting have been posted to the Current Schedule / Results page of this website.  They  can also be found on the PHA Meetings page under the Policies menu (along with the minutes of pasts meetings  from 2012).

Highlights from the meeting include:

• Both 2025 Summit Point events are a go
• Giants Despair is freshly paved
• A new points event will be held at Pocono over the weekend of Oct 4-5, 2025
• The banquet date was moved to Nov 22 to allow for Pocono event to be a points event
• All officers were elected uncontested
• The new “Solo and Time Trial Derived” classing structure was adopted, and the eight new classes will be:  Sport Lite (SL), Sport (S), Super Sport (SS), Sport Max (SX), Sport Unlimited (SU), Modified (M), Super Modified (SM), and Outlaw (0).
• With the introduction of these new classes, the SCCA Solo Street Modified (SM, SSM, SMF), the SCCA Solo Street Prepared Classes (SSP, ASP, BSP, CSP, DSP, ESP, FSP), and the PHA Supplemental Class Street Modified Extreme (SMX) have been retired. Cars that previously ran in one of these classes will now run in one of the Solo and Time Trial Derived Classes.
  Note – The PHA Supplemental Class Street Modified RWD (SMR) was retained by vote of the PHA membership. This class is based on the Solo Street Modified Class, but is restricted to RWD cars. 

Draft PHA Supplemental Rules Posted

A draft version of the 2025 PHA supplemental rules has been posted to the Rules page of the PHA website.   Note that this document contains all of the changes introduced and voted on through the Jan 18, 2025 meeting.   However, there is one additional class change being proposed for 2025, and it will be presented and voted on at the March 8 meeting.

Next Meeting March 8, 2025

The next PHA meeting is the Organizational Meeting, and it will be held March 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM.  It will be held at Giannotti’s Country Manor Restaurant, 3118 Pricetown Road, Fleetwood, PA, and should end by 4:00 PM.  You can arrive any time after noon if you want to get a bite to eat first.

The full agenda for the meeting will be posted to the Current Schedule / Results page shortly, along with the details of the new proposed class.

We will also be providing a zoom option for those who cannot attend in person.   For information on how to request zoom credentials and on how to use zoom, please see the links for this meeting on our Current Schedule/Results page.

If you plan to attend by zoom, please request the credentials by Friday, March 7.  If you wait until Sat, it is very likely that I will not see your request in time.
