PHA Awards Banquet Program – Introduction
I tried something new for the PHA Awards Banquet Program this year. In the spirit of the old PHA newsletter (Uphill), I asked PHA members to contribute articles on whatever struck their fancy, as long as it was related to PHA or the sport of hillclimbing.
I wasn’t disappointed. Quite a few members responded, making this one of the most interesting (and thickest) programs since I started racing with the PHA in 2005.
Over the next few months, I’m going to post the articles from the program here for everyone to enjoy. I’m also going to include the ads from our sponsors, as their contributions more than offset the cost of printing the program, and they deserve some extra recognition.

New Year’s Day Duryea 2024
Happy New Year! We had a great turn out at the “New Year’s Day Duryea”, our annual meet up at turn 2 of the Duryea/Pagoda Hillclimb in Reading PA.
PHA Banquet 2023
The Annual PHA Banquet was held Nov 4, 2023 at the Grantville Holiday Inn and it was a lot of fun. If you weren’t able to make it this year, you were missed (and you missed out on a fun event)!

Steve Lewis
Steve Lewis passed away on Oct 2, 2023 after fighting a long and hard battle with cancer. Blue Mountain Region and the PHA have lost one of their most dedicated and productive members, as well as a very fast driver.
Fall Weatherly 2023
Fall Weatherly Hillclimb was held Sept 16-17, 2023. It was the eight and final event in the PHA Championship Series.
Fall Shenandoah 2023
Fall Shenandoah Track Sprint was held September 2-3, 2023 at Summit Point Motorsports Park in Summit Point, WV. It was the seventh event in the eight event 2023 PHA Championship series.
Duryea 2023
Duryea Hillclimb was held August 19-20, 2023, and was the sixth event in the eight event 2023 PHA Championship series.
Kihurani Gakuu
