Happy New Year! Once again, PHA members celebrated the New Year with “New Year’s Day Duryea”, when we meet at turn 2 of Duryea on at noon on, you guessed it, New Year’s Day. This social gathering has been happening every year since I can remember, and is always fun!

About 22 people made it, which is a smaller turn out than usual, but it was really cold on the hill — in the 20’s and breezy. I did not make it, and I have no good excuse.
I’m about a 1.5 hour drive away, and when I checked the weather, I couldn’t bring myself to deal with the cold temperature, and stayed home under a pile of cats instead. But now that I see the pictures, courtesy of Rich Rock and Mike Robinson, I am regretting it. Next year!
One really cool thing was that Rich, the Duryea Hillclimb Event Chair (among many other things), was able to present Mike Robinson with the FTD trophy from Duryea 2025.

Here are some more pictures — enjoy!

Hope to see you when hillclimbing season starts again! Or maybe even the next meeting, which is Jan 10 at Giannotti’s — see the Current Schedule/Results page on this website for details.
Again, Happy New Year to all of you! I can’t wait for the 2026 season!
